An Introduction to the Vishudha, Throat, Truth or Blue Chakra

The vishudha, throat, truth or blue chakra is located, as the name suggests, in the throat area near the thyroid gland. This fifth chakra is thus related to communication, creativity and expression. Here we experience the world symbolically through vibration, such as the vibration of sound representing language. The color for this chakra is blue.

Opening this 5th chakra allows you to speak the truth and to express your true feelings with love. This is why it is called sometimes the truth chakra.

Physically, it governs the thyroid gland, lungs, vocal cords, bronchial apparatus and metabolism. Also it controls the jaws, neck, upper lungs and arms.

To help activate this blue chakra, have water near you, and use blue candles. The symbol of this chakra is the star.

This chakra wavelength and frequency are approximately: 470-500 nm / 638-600 THz. The corresponding musical note is: G.
